A warm welcome awaits you at Loaninghead where we offer self catering cottages on a farm steading conversion, new to the market for Christmas 2006 and Spring 2007.

Loaninghead is in the heart of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park - the first in Scotland. An 18th century red sandstone former hunting lodge, it was at one time part of the estates of the Duke of Montrose around the time of Rob Roy McGregor the notorious outlaw.

Surrounding by stunning countryside, wildlife and ancient history there is always something interesting to investigate no matter what the weather or time of year. Loaninghead is an excellent position for country activities such as hill climbing, canoeing, fishing, cycling, cruising on the lochs or watching wildlife.

   

Set amongst mature trees and beautiful unspoilt countryside, the conversion of the stables was undertaken by highly skilled local craftsmen. The accommodation has been tastefully furnished throughout; offering the utmost comfort. The kitchens have good quality crockery and cooking utensils. The bedrooms include superior bed linen, allergy free duvets and pillows. A gas barbeque is available for you to use in the warm summer evenings.

While Loaninghead enjoys idyllic countryside views, the village of Drymen is only a short drive for provisions, relax in one of the restaurants or spend some time on its golf courses.

Loaninghead is our home. We are readily available should you need us during your stay. We are open all year and offer mid-week and weekend breaks in low season.
